Patty Copeland, age 72 of Lowell, passed away on May 13, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Florence Sloan. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Copeland; children, Kevin (Theresa) Copeland, Jennifer (Alex) Lebron; grandchildren, Melanie (Jeff) VanDenHeuvel, Lauren (Chris) Thielen, AJ Copeland, Aaron Copeland, Justin Lebron, Evan Lebron, Alexis Lebron, Austin Lebron; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Reese; mother-in-law, Dorothy Jean Copeland; sisters, Charlotte, Carolyn, Linda, Sarah, Judy, Pam; and sisters-in-law, Cristy and Kay. Patty retired from Amway after 38-1/2 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Lowell. Patty was very active within the church, she taught Sunday School for 35 years, involved in Bus Ministry, and served in AWANA youth group. Patty enjoyed traveling with her family, which included trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and even a Disney Cruise. Some of her favorite pastimes included fishing with Bob, U of M sports, and cheering on her grandkids at sporting events. Above all, Patty loved spending time with her family and grandkids. Visitation will be held, 3-5 PM and 6-8 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022, First Baptist Church of Lowell, 2275 W. Main St., Lowell, MI 49331. Funeral service will be 3PM, Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the church, visitation one hour prior. Pastor Jon Pickens officiating. Luncheon to follow service. Private interment at Oakwood cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Lowell.

  1. Robert- we were so sad to hear of Patty’s passing. Whenever we saw her she always had a smile and kind words. Hoping the wonderful memories of your time together with family and friends helps you through these sad times. We are thinking of you all. Carolyn – Marcus and Taylor Hansen

    I am so sorry to hear of Patty’s passing. I will always think of her kind smile and wonderful laugh. It seems way too soon for her to be gone. Perhaps she and my mom will share laughs with each other in heaven!
