IRVINE – Paul Raymond Irvine age 69 passed away in Naples Florida on April 26 surrounded by his family and best friend Toby.Paul was an amazing husband an incredible dad and an extraordinary grandpa who always put his family first followed closely by his many friends and his love of boating.Born in Black Capes Quebec Canada Paul came to Grand Rapids as a teenager and spent his first years here with his beloved Aunt Lexy; she helped him to make Grand Rapids his home.Paul was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Edith Irvine and by brother Jim.He is survived by his loving wife and life partner Val daughter Kim (Joe) Malewitz son Bob Irvine (Liz Semeyn), daughter Deb (Ken) Ables and son David (Jennifer) Irvine.Paul will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Joey Jourdan and Lindsay Malewitz; Hayden Straub and Peyton Irvine; Alex and Liam Ables and Brody and Jackson Irvine. Paul is also survived by brother David (Katherine) Irvine brother Andrew (Suzanne) Irvine brother Don (Janet) Irvine sister-in-law Mary Brey and brothers-in-law Herman (Connie) and Robert (Roberta) Miller. He will be dearly missed by the nieces and nephews who treasured him.A service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at St. Alphonsus Church 224 Carrier N.E., Grand Rapids April 30th 10 am with Rev. Denis J. Ryan CSsR officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.Visitation: 2-4 and 6-8 PM at OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Road Grand Rapids.
