Paula Jean (P.J) VanderLaan, age 77 of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Webster and Dorothy Stahl and husband Ronald VanderLaan (2015). She is survived by her brother, Richard (Pat) Stahl; sons, Craig VanderLaan, Kurt (Maggie) VanderLaan; daughter, Rene (Robert) Gilray; granddaughters, Crystal VanderLaan, Ariana and Marisa Roberts; brother-in-law, Karl (Jean) VanderLaan; cousins, nieces and nephews; also many very close, good friends. Paula was a medical secretary for 30 years. She loved gardening, flowers& bird watching in her backyard. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 19 at 11:30 a.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, Pastor Dr. Phil Johnson of New Day Church on the Hill officiating, with visitation one hour prior to service.
