Peggy Ann Darcangelo (Cross), age 89, passed away contentedly Sunday, July 15, 2018, at her home in Cascade. Peggy was born on Flag Day in 1929 in Romulus, Michigan where she grew up on the family farm. In 1950, Peggy moved to Grand Rapids and married Robert. Peggy was a thoughtful and generous person who lived life quietly. She loved family and friends, her dogs, sewing and was an avid reader. During her retirement years in Venice, Florida she enjoyed cards, shelling and looking for shark’s teeth. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G., her parents, Basil and Grace Cross, two sisters and a brother. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Susan G. Bouman, Stephen R. (Kande) Darcangelo and Robert A. Darcangelo; five grandchildren, Nicole Bouman, Joshua (Heather) Bouman, Amanda (Nate) Twietmeyer, Melinda and Emily Darcangelo; four great-grandchildren, Judah and Josie Twietmeyer, Mason and Nolan Bouman; plus her two dogs, Nikki and Marley.
