Peter Neels III, age 63 of Lowell, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Richard and Patricia Szymoniak. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Susan; brother-in-laws, Tim (Cynthia) Szymoniak, Mark (Kim) Szymoniak; sister-in-laws, Shirley (Stuart) Mitchell, Beth (Brian) Carnaghi, Patty (Dr. John) Mogor, Janet (Doug) Wolters, Bonnie (Timothy) Lalley; best friend and golf buddy, Jerry Colburn; and many nieces and nephews. Peter was a loyal and hard-working employee at the Kellogg’s Company for 45 years, retiring in 2015. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, and enjoyed gardening on his property. He was loved by all, especially children, and will be missed dearly. Peter was a wonderful and devoted husband to Susan; she loved him with all of her heart, and always will. She will miss her darling husband forever. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. Funeral will be Wednesday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel. Rev. Fr. Daniel Schumaker officiating. Interment Merriman Cemetery.
