Peter “Petrus” Breeman

Peter “Petrus” Geradus Breeman, age 86 of Grand Rapids, passed away September 11, 2021. He is preceded in death by his sister, Louise Weers. Peter is survived by his children, David Breeman, Daniel Breeman, Kimberly (Brock) Williams, Scott Breeman, Michael (Shari) Breeman; grandchildren, Ashley, Shauna, Jacob, Nathan, Camden, Braylon; great-grandchildren, Ellijah, Elliott, Charlotte; although no longer married they remained close friends, Diane Breeman; several nieces and nephews. He proudly served his country in the United States Airforce, last stationed at Wurthsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, Michigan. Peter was a do-it-yourself handyman. He was able to play the harmonica by ear and enjoyed listening to jazz. Peter took immense pride in his meticulous yard. He was a great listener and truly cared for others. He was conservative in his views and was patriotic. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM. Interment Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012 at 2:30 PM.

  3. Peter, you will be greatly missed. Jesus has taken you home to glory. May the peace of the spirit surround your loved ones.

  4. Peter was a good friend of ours for many years. He came to so many of our karaoke shows and he loved to play his harmonica at them. Everyone was always amazed at the beautiful music that he made. Our hearts go out to the families. Rest in peace dear friend.
