ROSENBACH – Phyllis Ann Rosenbach (Malewitz) passed away on June 27 2010 surrounded by her family. Phyllis was preceded in death by the love of her life her husband Bob her parents Mayme and Joseph Malewitz her sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Joseph OBrien and sister Marilyn Kay her brother Rev. Joseph Malewitz her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lois and Jack Cantile sister-in-law Mary Ann Rosenbach. She is survived by her children: Anne (Joe) Wiltrakis Margaret (Mark) Dillon Bob (Leslie) Rosenbach Tom (Tracy) Rosenbach Laura (Mike) Kasperlik her brother and sister-in-law Bernard and Jeannie Malewitz brother-in-law Norm Kay; her grandchildren: Julia Winter (Jamie), Joe Wiltrakis (Jocelyn), Michael Wiltrakis (Andrea), Sarah Dillon Megan Biggam (Tim), Patrick Dillon Lauren Host (Josh), Rob Rosenbach Ben Rosenbach Haley Rosenbach Korey Jo Rosenbach Amanda Southwell (John), Meghan Kasperlik her great-grandchildren: Evie Winter Sam Winter Jack Wiltrakis Max Wiltrakis Leah Wiltrakis Oliver Biggam Connor Biggam Max Southwell many loved nieces nephews their families and her extended Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish family. Phyllis had an impact on many lives at Immaculate Heart. She was an English teacher tutor volunteer mentor and served in many other capacities too numerous to mention. Phyllis served as the president of the Mary Catherine and St. Johns guilds and was a member of the Catholic Inter-Parochial High School Board. In 1997 she was awarded the Distinguished Graduate Award from the National Catholic Education Association one of the highest honors given nationally. She loved teaching and as an educator she shared her love of learning with students of all ages. Phyllis lived her faith in ordinary ways best summed up in a letter from a friend She was always there for all of us. We didnt have to ask. She seemed to know instinctively what we needed even before we did. Visitation will be June 29 from 7:00-9:00 PM and June 30 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. A memorial Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM on Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered July 1 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1935 Plymouth SE with Rev. Troy Nevins presiding. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Killgoar Foundation or The Catholic Foundation for Secondary Education.
