VOGELSANG – Rebecca Marie Vogelsang age 17 of Ada went peacefully to be with the Lord March 6 2008. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Francis and Mary Louise Vogelsang. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents Phillip and Kathleen Vogelsang of Ada; sisters Amanda Kathleen and Laura Mary Vogelsang; grandparents Vito and Mary Ann Basile of Stuart FL; many aunts uncles cousins and numerous friends. Becca loved dancing having danced since age 3 with the Ada Dance Academy Performing Company the Blue Lake International Ensemble and annual performances with the Moscow Ballet. She also performed at Circle and Civic Theaters was in many community productions including the Forest Hills Fine Arts Centers dedication and had a lead role in the schools Copacabana musical. Becca was a senior at Forest Hills Eastern High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and also a lettered varsity athlete. She loved languages and especially enjoyed studying Spanish and Chinese. Becca was very excited about having been accepted to the University of Michigan where she planned to study molecular biology. In her desire to help others Becca was a school teacher at St. Robert of Newminster Church and a volunteer at Gods Kitchen. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Robert of Newminster Church 6477 Ada Dr. SE Rev. R. Louis Stasker presiding. Vigil service 6:00 PM Tuesday. Interment Findlay Cemetery. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM at St. Robert of Newminster Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to DeVos Childrens Hospital 100 Michigan NE Grand Rapids Michigan 49503
