Richard Lawrence Miller

Richard Miller, age 85 of Grand Rapids, died Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Neil, mother, Edith, and brother, Ted. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children, Amy (Gregory) Feather, Yvonne Hogan and stepson, Bryan (Danielle) Cole; grandchildren, Michael Hogan, Chloe Feather, and Elizabeth Cole; sisters, Patricia (Daniel) Weston, and Marcia Fowler; many loving nieces and nephews. Richard served for several years on the Kent City School Board. He retired from the State of Michigan in the Michigan Employment Security Commission, was an avid golfer, and loved cars. Richard was a loving father and husband who enjoyed family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed by all. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 22, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel with visitation one-hour prior. Chaplain Nathaniel Johnson of Emmanual Hospice, officiating. Interment Graceland Memorial Park.
