NORTH, RICHARD LEROY, age 71 or Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife Nita. He is survived by his children, Mark North, Rebecca North, Lynne (Bob) Bass, Carla (Joe) Laethem, Yvonne (Rick) Rosenzweig, Ken (Cindy) Lamain; brothers, Bob (Charlene) North, Kenneth (Johanna) North, Sonny (Julie) North; sisters, Barbara (Roy) Welsh, Sharon (Ken) Christman, Patricia Fish; grandchildren, Rachael Dolan, Ryan Chapman, Renee (Nick) Rowan, Carrie (Trevor) Manning, Nicole Chambers, Emily and Bradley Rosenzweig, Marty, Cassidi (Clint) Matthews and Nick Lamain; aunt, Wilma Tumbling; and numerous nieces and nephews of whom he was particularly close, his niece Carol (Mark) Gribell and their daughter Mikalah. Dick proudly served 4 years with the US Navy on board The Carrier Forrestal. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Bruce Huseby of Calvary Church officiating.
