FRIAR Rita Geraldine Jerrie Friar (nee Mead), age 92 of Grand Rapids passed away August 18 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband J. Roger Friar; son Dick Friar; 11 brothers and sisters; special friend Joey Loughrin. She is survived by her children Pete (Carol) Friar Steve (Debbie) Friar Jill (Jim) Blok James (Bobbi Parmer) Friar John (Rose Lucchese) Friar Patti (Brad) King; daughters-in-law Mary Lou Friar Diane Friar; brother Ed Mead; 19 grandchildren 25 great-grandchildren many nieces and nephews. Jerries family would like to thank all the staff at Blodgett Hospital for their wonderful care to our mom and family. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church Rev. James A. Chelich presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 3:00 PM. Visitation 3-7 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
