RUSCO Rita Hadra Rusco (Ardoyno), of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on May 27 2011. She was born in Cleburne TX September 8 1920. Rita married Jack E. Hadra September 10 1941 and soon moved to North Manitou Island MI where she was Postmaster. She had two children Nicholas and Rita Hadra. After settling in Muskegon MI she became Associate Director of United Way. A North Manitou Islander for nearly fifty years Rita authored the book North Manitou Island Between Sunrise and Sunset. Rita was preceded in death by husband Jack E. Hadra and husband Kenneth Rusco; son Nicholas Hadra and brothers Hugh and Jim Ardoyno. Surviving are daughter Rita Pesano (John); grandchildren Nicholas Olejarczyk and Gena Kaiser (Andrew) and great-granddaughter Ally Kaiser; brother Matthew Ardoyno (Lucille); friend Christine Osterman and nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Paul the Apostle Church Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider presiding. Interment Oakwood Cemetery Muskegon. Vigil service 7:30 PM. Visitation 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
