Rita Joann Dykhouse, age 78 of Cascade Twp., passed away and went to be with the Lord, February 24, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Louise Dirkse; and sister, Marcia Belka. Rita is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sybrant Dykhouse III; children, Melissa (Scott) Zeeryp, Brent (Lani) Dykhouse, John (Korrin) Dykhouse, Melanie Anderson; grandchildren, Sydney (Avery) Baylis, Kaeli Zeeryp, Max Anderson, Michaela Dykhouse, Kristina Zeeryp, Saige (Shriver) Lambert, Abigail (Dylan) Dykhouse, Ashley Dykhouse, Anneke Dykhouse, Frankie Anderson, Ian Dykhouse, Sten Anderson, Kai Dykhouse; great-grandchildren, Micah Mullen, and Crew Baylis; sister, Sherry (John) Berka; sisters-in-law, Bealynn (Patrick) Dooling, Kathy (Kevin) Wallis; brother-in-law, Doug (Kim) Dykhouse; and many nieces and nephews. Rita loved her family, and her greatest love was being with her grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Cascade Christian Church, 2829 Thornapple River Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Rev. Jill Forton officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cascade Christian Church “Camp Crystal” Scholarship Fund, 2829 Thornapple River Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.

Dear Sy and family, have always felt a connection .So very sorry I did not know in time to be there. You both have been a wonderful blessing as parents, grandparents, to your church , schools, and community. I felt the JOY you gave, the caring, the JOY you felt raising your family.
