Robert “Bob” Ellsworth Smith, age 63 of Lowell, unexpectedly passed away on June 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Elaine Smith; and brother, Don Smith. He is survived by his children, Sarah (Brian) Thompson, Amber (Jesse) Waldecker; grandchildren, Eliana and Bryleigh Thompson, Grayson Waldecker; and canine companion, Blu Dog. Bob went to Northview Schools along with his younger brothers, Don and Doug. He retired from Wolverine Glass Products after 27 years of dedicated service. Bob loved camping, hunting, fishing, and a newfound love of floating in the pool. He also loved smoking meat and roasting pigs alongside his family for friends to enjoy. Visitation will be held 3-5 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson St., Lowell, MI 49331 with optional memory sharing at 4:30 PM. Friends and family are welcome to gather at Sarah and Brian’s house immediately following. Memorial contributions may be made to Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary, 8935 Thompson Rd., Lake Odessa, MI 48849.

Brian, Sarah, Amber, Jesse, Eliana, Bryleigh & Grayson, Words seem inadequate to express my sadness in your dad’s (grandpa’s) passing.
