BLAZER – Robert Owen Blazer a man of great honor and quiet dignity passed away peacefully on June 19 2008 in Jackson MI. He is now in Heaven with his wife and best friend of 58 years Millie who preceded him in their new life together. Bob is survived by his two children Doug (Bonnie) Blazer and Becky (Gregg) Patten; his four grandchildren Mike and Steve Blazer George (Melissa) Patten and Tori (Chris) Matsos and Jonathan Patten; his great-grandson. Though sadly missed he will be fondly remembered by his family and many life-long friends. Born in Grand Rapids on July 28 1924 Dad proudly served his nation during WWII as an aviator with the 4th Emergency Rescue Squadron. He had a wonderful life with no regrets and never lost his love of family friends country flying or golf. Memorial services will be at 12 noon June 21 at Cascade Christian Church 2829 Thornapple River Dr. SE. Pastor George Davis officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at church.
