Robert Sciba age 72 of Walker died on March 15 2012 of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). There are around 200000 people in the US that have IPF and around 40000 die each year but most people have not heard of it. Bob was born on November 11 1939 the son of Joseph and Gertrude Sciba of Filer City MI. Bob served in the Navy from 1959 to 1962 then worked in finance most of his life and retired after 29 years at Foremost Insurance in 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Diane; children Robert and Cecilia Sciba of Denver CO Michael and Debbie Sciba of Grand Rapids Michelle and Robert Klein of Lansing Dean and Bona Van Dis of Grand Rapids; grandchildren Theodore Ella and Amelia Sciba Reanna Jason and Marisa Klein Wyatt and Arlo Van Dis. Memorial services will be Saturday at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Visitation 6-8 PM.
