Roger C. Teale, age 88 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Lowell, went to be with The Lord Monday, March 5, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Ruth; and brother Roderick Teale. He is survived by his children Joy (Dr. Rev. Bill) Fleming, Mark Teale, Jan Morley; sister Barbara Mahon; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Roger served his country on a dirigible for the U.S. Navy. He worked for Steelcase for 29 years. Roger was a man who loved his church, life, music and family. He was an active member in 5 bands including Scottville Clown Band, Calder City Band, and Ionia Community Band. Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 9, 10:30 a.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Karen Ingebretson of Thornapple Covenant Church officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives one half hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
