Roger Oosterhouse, age 79, lovingly entered the arms of Jesus on March 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Wilma Oosterhouse; brother, Larry; brother-in-law, Roger DeBack. Roger graduated from South Christian High School in 1961 and attended Davenport College. He retired from Ferris Coffee and Nut Company after over 30 years of service. In retirement, it was noted that Rog had a gentle, easy going, and honest personality. He had many interests in life, including but not limited to: racing, drag racing, snowmobiling, boating, water skiing, tractor pulling, Cushman scooters, MSU basketball, John Deere tractors, hunting, fishing, cashews and any sweet treats. Roger was a member of the National Cushman Association. He enjoyed many years playing golf. Roger had an infectious laugh and was a friend to all who knew him. Rog had a long struggle with dementia. It was heartbreaking to see him slowly fade away. June lovingly cared for him for their more than 23 years of marriage. She showed unwavering devotion the last several years, being an example of true dedication in sickness and health. Family and friends will hold a celebration of life luncheon on Friday April 15th, from 1-3 PM at Lakeside Community Church, 6201 Whitneyville Ave SE, Alto, MI 49302.
