Russell J. Dunham, age 89 of Grand Rapids, passed away on February 11, 2023. He is now with his Lord and Savior, reunited with his wife of 58 years, Theresa (Hudson) Dunham. Russell is survived by his son, Russell (Sheri) Dunham Jr., and his children Kristy and Kimmy Dunham; daughter, Cindy (Doug) O’Neal, and her daughter, Star (Marc) Palma; daughter, Sandy (Larry) Welch and their daughter, Grace Welch; great grandchildren, Logan Streeter, Abbie Tower, Savannah Palma; brother, Steve Dunham; sister, Ann Dunham; sisters-in-law, Vera Dunham, Cassie Hudson, Margie (Bob) Jackson, Joan (Ron) VanNoord. Russ met the love of his life, Theresa, while attending Catholic Central High School. They wed on January 11,1954 before he left to serve two years as a Sargent in the United States Army. After serving, Russ attended Davenport College, where he earned a business degree. He spent most of his career working for Newell Manufacturing Company in Lowell, MI, ending his career as the CEO. He retired in 2000 to spend more time with family. Russ was a loving man who touched the lives of many. He was dedicated to his family, friends, work but most importantly to his Lord and Savior. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at St. Pius Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Russell’s memory to Emmanuel Hospice, 401 Hall St SE #263 Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
