Ruthanne Fahrni, age 81 of Lowell, passed from this life into eternity Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was a wonderful and loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She rarely forgot a birthday, and always sent the grandkids a card on their special day. She also for years sent cards to her church family for birthdays and anniversaries. Ruthanne went to Butterworth School of Nursing and worked over 40 years as a nurse, caring for others. Twenty-two of those years, she worked as a charge nurse at Laurels of Kent in Lowell. Ruthanne loved being with her children, grand children, and she loved planting flowers every year. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Edna Bloomer; brother, Lloyd; husband of 40 years, James Fahrni; and son, Brian Marentette. Ruth is survived by her sister, Lorraine Meeuwsen; her children, Mark (Dodie) Marentette, Michelle (Tom) Oesch, Robert (Amanita) Fahrni; good friends, Tom & Connie Vaughn; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, also nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 6-9 PM at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Center, 7700 Wingeier Ave. SE, Alto, MI 49302. Funeral services will be Friday, September 25, 2020, 11 AM, also at the the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Center. Rev. Nate Gray officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. We will be following the Michigan Covid restrictions at the visitation and the funeral.   3. So sorry to lean of your loss Robert / family, lots of memories of Jim and Ruth coming over, spent time together. I am praying you find peace and strength in your loss of your mother. RIP Ruth
