Sharon Lynn Burns (Hice, Harrison), age 77 of Grand Rapids, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; and daughter Gretchen Nicolette. She is survived by her children Steven Richard Harrison, Jeff (Linda) Burns, Bob (Roslyn) Burns, James Burns; son-in-law Joe Nicolette; brother Neale (Susan) Hice; grandchildren Joe and Ben Nicolette, James, Margaret and Tyler Burns, Alicia Clarke, Joe (Melissa) Pietrusza, Leah Pietrusza; great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. Sharon was an avid golfer, enjoying playing in local leagues and a former member of Cascade Hills Country Club. She also liked bowling, bingo and going to movies. She did volunteer work for American Red Cross and went on several out of state disaster missions. Funeral service will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. The family will meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
