Sheila Marie Smith, age 67 of Walker, born December 20, 1953, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Barbara Smith; brothers, Thomas Smith, Kevin Smith, Jeffrey Smith, and Les (Charlene) Smith. Sheila is survived by her brother, Dennis (Karen) Smith; sisters, Catherine (Ted) Lemanski, Jeanette (William) VanHarken; sister-in-law, Lori Smith; nieces & nephews, Anne, Susan, Robbie, Julie, Katie, David, Dawn, Connie, Matt, Kristen, Michael, Brian, Jason, Cristina, David, Ashley, Shawn, and many cousins. We would like to express our gratitude to her lifelong friends of over 50 years to Karen, Sandy, MaryLou, along with her Home Depot friends Penny, Terry and many more. Sheila graduated from Pontiac Northern High School and attended Grand Valley University. She worked for Home Depot, and enjoyed making jewelry, sewing, and painting. Her greatest love and joy were being an aunt and great aunt to her nieces and nephews, and her love for her friends. A Celebration of Sheila will be Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 12-3pm at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
