Shelby Rose Baird, age 27 of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Allan Baird; uncle, Larry Olson Jr.; cousins, Christopher, and Timothy Raymor; and uncle and aunt, David and Ruth Divine. She is survived by her daughter, the love of her life, Ivy Rose; mother, Tammy Baird; father, Dave (Kim Crissman) Baird; brothers, Eric (Keerstin Bazan) Baird, Daniel Baird; grandmother, Judy Baird; aunts, Carol (Robert) Leyman, Christine Baird, Bonnie Baird; and nieces and nephews. Shelby was a graduate from Lowell High School, class of 2013. She raced both cars and horses and even made the top 10 in the nationals for barrel racing. Shelby enjoyed being outdoors, laughing, and especially spending time with her family and friends. Visitation will be held 10:30AM – 12PM, Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Alton Bible Church, 2780 Lincoln Lake Ave NE, Lowell, MI 49331. Funeral service to follow at 12PM. Rev. Ken Ford officiating. Interment Alton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Roth-Gerst Funeral Home to help the family with future expenses, 305 N. Hudson St., Lowell, MI 49331.

  2. Shelby was a huge inspiration for me in barrel racing (horses) when I was extremely young. I remember constantly asking for updates on her races and begging to watch her show and visit her and her horses. She is probably one of the main reasons I kept working to own my first horse and now I’m forever hooked.
    Thank you for the inspiration Shelby you never knew how much of a of inspiration you were to some random little kid.
    I hope the family of Shelby heals and finds peace at this time.

  3. I am sorry to hear of your precious daughter’s passing. She was a beautiful girl and a gift to this world. I sense her beautiful free spirit and know and pray that she has gone on to her next very blessed life. I love you all and wish you God’s blessings at this heartbreaking time.

I have no words this girl this beautiful girl had a fire in her like I can’t explain I only was blessed with a few hang outs with Shelby but man I loved this kid instantly and knew she was my people a little crazier lol but not the less My people lol and I meant the Baird driving haha she drove like balls to the wall but her n I when we first met were like yup we are cool. I pray for her family most of all n I will see you again someday young beautiful soul prayers from Jill Kloosterman
