Sheldon Charles Kremen, 88, loving father and grandfather of Farmington Hills, MI, passed away on May 13, 2020. He was born October 10, 1931 and is preceded in death by his parents Isaak and Anna (Cohen) Kremen; and brother, Harold Kremen. He is survived by his children, Ron Kremen, Deb (Curtis Cater) Woodburne; grandchildren, Allie, Danny, Nick, and Katie. After graduating high school, Sheldon joined the United States Army from 1952 to 1960 and served in the Korean War. Sheldon became an expert in the shoe industry as he worked in his father’s shoe store. In 1971, he opened the store, “Family Shoe Shop”, gracefully stepping into the role of a successful business owner and salesman. Later in life, he added to his repertoire of expertise by becoming a massage therapist. In his personal life he was an accomplished marathon runner and had great joy for the film industry. He had a gift for identifying great movies and found enjoyment in sharing them with his family. Anyone who knew Sheldon knew that he cared deeply about his family and close friends. He lived every day to the fullest; still exercising, meeting up with friends, and treating his family to outings filled with laughter and good food well into his late 80s. His wit, charm, and humor bled into every aspect of his life, and everyone he encountered was never left without a smile. He was an extremely genuine, generous, and caring person. He supported his family’s every endeavor and was present for every milestone. He served as a role model to so many, spreading kindness and always prioritizing the important people in his life. Sheldon was the light of our lives, and he touched the lives of so many people. We will always cherish our memories with him.
