BLAQUIERE – Shirley May Blaquiere peacefully passed into eternal life February 27 2008. Shirley was born September 11 1931 in South Bend Indiana to Hope Ernestine Hurlburt Putman and Milton Franklin Putman. She was preceded in death by her son Dean Blaquiere. Shirley is survived by her children Mark (Cathey Ann) Blaquiere Lane (Carol) Blaquiere Julie (Dominic) Greene and Joseph Blaquiere; by her grandchildren Timothy Andrew Kyle and Nichole Blaquiere Amanda (Ian) Nazareno and Brendan (Melissa), Michael Andrea and Kevin Greene; and by her great-grandchildren Keegan and Audrey Greene. Shirley is also survived by her brother Duane (Nancy) Putman and brothers and sisters in-law. Before her recent illness Shirley was involved in the Heartside ministries Degage Disability Advocates Gildas Club the Voigt house where she loved to garden each year the Grand Rapids Historical Society genealogy and NAMI. Shirleys family is extremely grateful for the love and care their mother has received from Holland Home especially the loving staff at the Van Andel Pavilion. The memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. SE with Rev. James Chelich presiding.
