Stanley “Val” Louis Kelley, age 86 of Grand Rapids, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister-in-law, Ron Pacific, Carl (Marian) Pacific, Marie Haraburda. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Carol; children, Lynn (Matt) Bonney, Kevin (Angela) Kelley; brother, Robert Kelley, brothers-in-law Ted (Shirley) Pacific, Tom (Georgia) Pacific, Fred (Jan)Pacific; sisters, Virginia VanDyke, Joane (Thomas) Zino; sisters-in-law, Terry McFall, Virginia Scheibli; grandchildren, Christina Larson, Andrea Nott, Amanda (Neal Miller) Zabrowski, Hailey Kelley and Marisa Kelley; great grandchildren, Keith, Katlin, Alexus and Kyah; also many nieces and nephews. Val was an avid fan of the Lions and Red Wings and enjoyed golfing. He served in the 11th Airborne in World War II. Memorial service will be held Thursday 12:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road, Grand Rapids with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
