WOLF – Stephen P. Wolf aged 54 of East Grand Rapids passed away on April 26 after a heroic battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father John M. Wolf and brother Michael J. Wolf. He is survived by his wife Karen and mother Mary Louise Wolf of East Grand Rapids; brothers Chris (Katy) Wolf of Lexington MA Marty Wolf of Grand Rapids Greg (Julie) Wolf of Grand Rapids and Andy (Linda) Wolf of Bloomingdale IL; his sister Mary (Kevin) Loiselle of Westmont IL; aunts uncles cousins nieces nephews and many many wonderful friends. As a graduate of East Grand Rapids High School Michigan State University Western Michigan University and Aquinas College Steve was a huge fan of learning and relished the sport of enlightened conversation. Happiest on the court or in the stands he loved the Spartans games with his buddies and re-living stories about both. Steve had a successful career in Human Resources and those who worked with him at Steelcase Orchid Cellmark Broadbeam Corporation Empact Solutions DBM Tower Automotive Crowe Horwath LLP and Aquinas College will remember him fondly. Steve joyfully imparted his wisdom on students at Grand Valley State University Rutgers Business School and Aquinas College as a passionate teacher and advisor. He always had a way to make a day just a little more interesting and often said You may not always like it but it will never be dull. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered May 3 at 11:00am at St. Stephen Catholic Church 750 Gladstone SE. Lunch will be served. Friends and family are also invited to gather in celebration of Steve’s life at Kent Country Club 1600 College Ave NE Grand Rapids on May 3 from 4:30-7:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Karen B. and Stephen P. Wolf Spartan Scholarship Challenge (AFF0112) established at Michigan State University 535 Chestnut Road Room 300 East Lansing MI 48824.
