Steven M. Schutte, age 70, of Alto went to be with his Lord on January 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Derry and Virginia; and sister, Brenda Schutte. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandy; children, Steven, Mark, Tim (Kristen); brothers, Darrel (Peggy) Schutte, Rudy Schutte; sisters, Louise Desotel, Susan (Wes) Daniels, Marilyn Schutte; grandchildren, Alex, Camden, and Hadley “Shiney”; brother-in-law, Mike Dominick; and sisters-in-law, Bev Skinner, Cindy Dominick.  Steven graduated with the class of ’71 from Caledonia High School. We are saddened to see Steven taken away from us so soon, but his Lord and Savior wanted him home. A man that poured his whole soul into the calling of being a farmer, husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. Known for his kindness, generosity, humor, and above all else, his work ethic. Though many struggles over the years, he was able to raise a beautiful family and create a successful business. If you had the privilege of meeting Steven, you fell in love with his personality and would become lifelong friends. He would tell you about his cows, his kids, and especially his grandkids. Steven would give anyone the shirt off his back if he thought he knew it would help. He will be dearly missed by many. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Apostolic Fellowship Center, 7700 Wingeier Rd, Alto, MI 49302. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 31, 2022, Apostolic Christian Church, 7157 Wingeier Rd, Alto, MI 49302 with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Ted Steffan and Pastor Howard Plattner officiating.
