BLACKMER Stewart Stu J. Blackmer age 55 a native of Grand Rapids was surrounded by friends and family when he passed away peacefully June 18 2010. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Pamela; daughter Katelin 22 and son Hayden 17; his mother Dorothy Blackmer; sister Deborah (Curt) Becker and nephew James Becker. He graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in 1973 and got his B.A. from Western Michigan University in 1977. He worked at Henry A. Fox Sales Company for 30 years. Stewart and his family were members of First Congregational Church for 19 years. Mr. Blackmer was also a member of Creston-Rod and Gun Club for over 15 years. A memorial service is scheduled for June 26th at 1:00 PM at First Congregational Church of Ada 6330 Ada Dr. SE Ada MI 49301 with Cheryl Lamport officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to any 5/3 Bank in Stewart Blackmers name. The family requests those attending the memorial service wear bright colors in memory of Stu. No black please.
