Suzanne Hill Anderson, age 85 of Grand Rapids formerly of Evanston, IL, passed away April 29, 2013 following a courageous battle against Alzheimer’s disease. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward M. Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Miles H. Anderson; daughter, Lisa Sue Anderson (Rahfeldt); granddaughters, Whitney Rahfeldt, Heather K. Anderson; nieces, Virginia Strader and Rebecca Liberto. Suzanne joined Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at Northwestern University in 1946. She majored in mathematics and physics. Suzanne, met Miles at Northwestern. They married December 17, 1949 in Evanston, IL. Their 63rd wedding anniversary was December 17, 2012. After college, Sue and Miles moved to Miami, Fl where their children Lisa and Edward were born. In 1965 Suzanne and Miles moved to Michigan and lived in East Grand Rapids where their children attended East Grand Rapids schools. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Saturday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road, Grand Rapids.
