MILLER Tammy Jean (TJ) Miller (41) of Grand Rapids MI (formerly of Middleville MI) went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 1 2011. Tammy was an active member of Forest Hills Baptist Church where she has served in various Childrens programs including Bible Quiz and Junior Church. She was presently serving as the secretary of the Churchs AWANA program. Tammy has taught in the Grand Rapids Public Schools for 19 years. She loved teaching and frequently was involved in various leadership roles. Tammy attended Thornapple Kellogg Public Schools and Grand Rapids Baptist Academy (Northpointe) through the 7th grade and completed her studies in a home school environment (88). Tammy received her Bachelors in Language Arts and Teachers Certification through Grand Rapids Baptist College (Cornerstone University) and her Masters in Leadership at Western Michigan University in Grand Rapids. Tammy was born May 12 1970 and was preceded in death by her paternal Grandparents Junior (Ernie) & Ruth Miller and Sister Jacqueline Miller. She was survived by maternal Grandparents Lee (Gene) & Velma Glass; Father Jack (Penny) Miller; Mother Shirley Miller; Brother Jack (Jenny) Miller; Sister Cheryl Miller; Nephews & Nieces Jesse Miller Jordan Miller Jonah Miller & Jaylen Miller Taeler Ponsart & Joshua Ponsart; 2 Uncles and 2 Aunts along with many cousins. Visitation will be October 6 2011 between 6-8PM and October 7 2011 between 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 8 2011 . at Forest Hills Baptist Church – 3900 East Fulton St. – Grand Rapids MI 49546. Pastor Jeff Burr officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Forest Hills Baptist Churchs Childrens Ministry in Tammys memory.
