Thomas A. Sterling, age 58, died suddenly on Monday August 31st, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Emmy Lou Sterling; and his sister, Mary E. Potter. He is survived by his siblings, Nancy (Rick), Robert A., Barbara, JoAnn, Susan, and Martha (Robert). He leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of East Grand Rapids High School. Tom was an avid reader and an enthusiastic football fan especially if Notre Dame was playing. He loved talking about his time in Alaska and was always ready to lend a willing hand to help others. We will miss his laugh. The family wishes to thank Tim for his kindness and generosity towards Tom as he struggled with life’s challenges. A burial and memorial service will be held in Grand Rapids at a future date to be determined.
