Pastor Thomas Senge, age 68 of Lowell, originally from Pittsburgh, PA., went to be with his Lord Saturday, August 3, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ann; children, Breanna (Matt) Kudo, Teresa (Joe Burbrink) Crawford; mother-in-law, Joan Hedgecock; sister, Peggy (Marshall) McElravy; grandchildren, Carol Burbrink, Elizabeth Burbrink, Emily Burbrink, and Owen Crawford. Tom served in the United States Air Force, and later worked for Lockheed Martin and TRW in Denver. After leaving the defense industry, Tom served as pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monessen, PA and then at Christ Lutheran in Reese, MI. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed playing guitar and mandolin for church services. While in Reese, Tom, Ann and some friends realized a lifelong ambition of his and founded the Christian rock band 1 Sam 3. He also served as fire chaplain for the Reese and Monessen Volunteer Fire Departments. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Vergennes United Methodist Church, 10411 Bailey Dr NE, Lowell, MI 49331 with funeral services to follow. Pastor Tom Fifer and Pastor Sue Trinklein will be co-officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.

    I enjoyed working working with him both at the fire department and at the funeral home. We will keep you and your family in our hearts and prayers
