Thomas John Yarch, age 68 of Lowell, passed away in his home Sunday, November 24, 2019. He was born on August 20, 1951 in Alpena, MI as the eldest child. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Delores A. Yarch and Eugene A. Yarch; brothers, Michael Yarch and David Yarch; brother-in-law, David Newhouse; as well as his grandparents. He is survived by his son, Joseph A. Yarch of Lowell; siblings, Deb Newhouse of Alpena, Mark Yarch of Grand Rapids, Jerry (Kim) Yarch of Roger City, Mary Jo Yarch of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law, Julie Yarch of Grand Rapids; and nieces and nephews. Tom was employed at Family Fare in Kentwood, MI and was in the U.S. Army. He really enjoyed and loved spending time with his son Joseph, going on trips, and working on cars together. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 628 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to mass. Msgr. Edward Hankiewicz, presiding. Interment at Bailey cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to help pay for funeral expenses.
