Thomas Jonathan Warden, age 78 of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully at home Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by brothers, John B. Warden, Ron Warden; and sister, Gail Fiorini. Tom is survived by his wife Erma Warden; children, Debra (Louis) Kahle, John (Kim) Warden, (and their mother, Linda Jane), Pam (Paul) Shank, Kathy (Rob) Kohn, Mary (Don) Siegel, Michelle Doane, Susan (Brent) Cowan, and Tim (Robin) Patt; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, William Warden; sister, Anne (Tom) Keller; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Norma & Larry Maxwell. He served in the United States Army in Germany. Tom enjoyed playing bridge for 40 years and earned his Life Master. He loved hunting and fishing, and especially teaching his grandkids how to fish. He took great pride in his profession of installing X-Ray and medical equipment in medical facilities, especially St. Mary’s Mercy Health Hospital in Grand Rapids. Services will take place 11:00 am Monday, August 30, 2021, at New Community Church, 2340 Dean Lake Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. Family will greet visitors one-hour prior. The family requests that all unvaccinated people in attendance please wear a mask. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 695 Kenmoor Ave. SE Suite B, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
