TAYLOR – Virginia Montrose Taylor age 81 died peacefully on July 23 2011. She is survived by her husband of 29 years Robert Taylor; and her children Robert (Catherine) Vaas Julie (Randy) Colvin and Randy (Stephanie) Vaas; grandchildren Leslie & Kyle Vaas sisterin-law Gisele Montross several nieces and nephews brothers-in-law Gordon Warren and Paul Taylor and sister-in-law Beth Gordon. She was preceded in death by her parents Coe & Ruth Montrose and brother Stan Montross. Ginnie studied for her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Michigan State University and taught elementary school in the Grand Rapids Public Schools for 24 years. She was active in her neighborhood association and at Fountain Street Church which she served on committees and in many volunteer positions from music and social activities to caring and community building. The memorial service will be held at Fountain Street Church on July 28 at 12:00 noon with Dr. Fred Wooden officiating; visitation thirty minutes prior to the service and reception to follow at the church. The family would like to thank the staff at Trillium Woods for their loving care. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made in Ginnies name to Fountain Street Church or Faith Hospice.
