Wanda D. Nalett, age 94, peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 25, 2017, in her home with her family by her side. Grand Rapids has been their home for the past 47 years. Wanda was born in Hamtramck, Michigan and grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. She graduated from Fordson High School in 1942. After graduation she was employed by Ford Motor Company as a riveter and tester for war planes. In 1946, she married Fred H. Nalett, the love of her life, who recently passed after 70 years together. They truly lived a wonderful life!  A lifelong homemaker, Wanda, dedicated herself to her family. Her gentle quiet spirit spoke volumes of her faith in God. She was the prayer warrior of the family. Her family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her son Robert (Julieanna) Nalett; daughters Karen (Ron) Goulet, Marla (Tim) Weston; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brother Zigmund Kowal; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Agnes Kowal and three siblings Stanley, Walter, and Joanna. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 31 11:00 AM at Saint Robert of Newminster Church, 6477 Ada Drive, Ada, Michigan. Rev. Msgr. R. Louis Stasker presiding. The family will meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment Ada Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Robert of Newminster Church, youth ministry.
