William Edward “Ted” Roberts Jr., age 84 of Ada, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed peacefully in his “little house” on Pettis with his family by his side on Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy in 2003; parents, William, Sr. and Marceline Roberts; brothers, Charles and Jack. He is survived by his children, Lynne Roberts-Jachim (Jeff Jachim) and William Patrick Roberts (Debra); grandchildren, Ben, Will and Mary Elise Jachim, Andrew and Madeline Roberts, Shaun and Colin Wolf; great-grandchildren, Eli and Sam Jachim; friends, Eileen Cory, Karen and Jerry DeBlaay, Betty Link, Shirley Boyle and Bob and Mary Brush. Ted was employed by the Pantlind Hotel from 1948 until 1963 and owned and operated it with his 2 brothers from 1963 until 1980. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church (meet at church) with Rev. Lamar Patin, CSsR, presiding. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 PM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
