ANDRO – William Robert Andro age 62 of Cascade died April 23 2009 as a result of complications from diabetes. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Phyllis son Rob daughter Sarah son-in-law Ted granddaughters Sophie and Hazel and a grandson arriving in June. Also surviving are his sisters Mary Lou Moran and Nancy Svoboda of Elmwood Park Illinois and 7 nieces and nephews. William was born to Vivien and Robert Andro in Chicago IL served in the Marines and graduated from Northwestern University. He spent his career at Ansul Herman Miller and owned and operated his own finishing business in Holland . After selling the business he went on to and completed his professional career as a successful General Manager and Consultant in the powder coating industry. He passionately served as a Board Member for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. While he was successful in all his professional endeavors Bills character and sense of humor will be most missed by all. Visitation will be at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home on April 29th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm His life will be celebrated at Watermark Country Club 1600 GalbraithSE on April 30th at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 5075 Cascade Rd. SE Suite F Grand Rapids MI 49546 in honor of his granddaughters walk team Steppin for Sophie.
