Ann Marie Covey, age 88 of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2022. She was preceded in death by her son, Doug Covey. Ann is survived by her loving husband, Preston Covey; daughter, Kindy (Gil) Segovia; daughter-in-law, Beth Covey; grandchildren, Andrea Bray, Alyssa Skolasky, Merideth Muthleb, Nevin Covey; great-grandchildren, Everett Skolasky, Ethan Bray, and Calvin Muthleb. Ann graduated from South Haven High School and attended Western Michigan University. She volunteered then worked as an executive assistant at Goodwill Industries for 40 years. Ann enjoyed many years vacationing, then living in Marco Island, Florida. She enjoyed staying connected to family and friends through social media, genealogy, and family history, and kept up regular workouts at the gym until she was 87. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Friday, November 18, 2022, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Interment Lake View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ann’s honor may be made to Goodwill of Greater Grand Rapids or Holland Home.
