Daniel Bruce Koetsier, age 76 of Cascade, walked into Jesus’ arms after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Bernice Koetsier. He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter Bernice (Jeff) Roshak; granddaughter, Lizzie Roshak; brother-in-law, David Cook; niece LCDR Shannan (CDR John) Rotruck serving in the Navy. Dan was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, working with wood making items to give away as gifts, working in his yard, and volunteering at Crossroad Bible Institute. Dan was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with family. He loved to make people laugh by using his writing wit. Dan was a proud veteran of the US Armed forces. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 11:30 a.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Pastor Dean Wheeler of Resurrection Life Church officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-4:00 p.m. and Monday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
