STORY – Dorothy Elizabeth Story aged 88 of Lowell passed away at home on December 2 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents Nelson and Nora Long. She married Ware Story in 1947 he preceded her in death in 1981. She is survived by her daughters Patty of Lowell Connie Don Bos of Saranac and Marlyene Hayden of White Lake; sister Mary E. Van Amburg of Grand Ledge; seven grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren; two special nieces Carole Herm Schrauben and Mary Lou Roger Bullen both of Portland; six great-nieces and nephews; 16 great-great nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was a 1937 graduate of Portland High School and was baptized at the age of 12 in the LeValley Methodist Church. Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lowell. Her family would like to thank Dr. Thomas McElwee and Dr. Donna Harold and staff of MMPC for the years of wonderful care they provided to Dorothy. Thank you also to Sergeant James Hinton of Lowell Police Department the Lowell EMT and Lowell Ambulance Service. Funeral service will be December 5th at the First United Methodist Church 621 E. Main Street Dr. Michael Conklin officiating. Interment South Boston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roth-Gerst Funeral Home 305. N. Hudson St., Lowell.
