Wanroy, Eleanor Ruth, passed away peacefully at age 96 on August 4, 2013 at Porter Hills Nursing Center. Eleanor was born January 16, 1917 to William & Henrietta Wanrooy in Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her twin brothers Paul & Phil Wanroy; and her beloved nephew P. Michael Wanroy. Eleanor’s life was full of great friends, travel, time spent at her cottage & love for music where she spent many years in her church choir. She was also a talented knitter and photographer. Her strong devotion to God, family and friends will transcend to many generations in the future. She helped the world to be a better place to all she touched. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving aunt to her surviving nephews & niece. The family wishes to thank the staff of Porter Hills for their loving care. The funeral will take place at 11 am August 9 at Mayflower Congregational Church, 2345 Robinson Rd SE, Rev. Mark Barger Elliot, officiating. Interment Oakhill Cemetery.
