DIXON Elizabeth Betty Ricklard Dixon August 5 1928 December 27 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Mark S. Dixon and her children Scott Mark and Barbara Ann Dixon. She is survived by her daughter Christine Elizabeth; her twin grandchildren Heather Elizabeth and Daniel Mark Dixon and her brother Lowell (Miriam) Ricklard; several nieces and nephews and relatives in the U.P. Betty was smart feisty strong stubborn and comedic till the end. She had her family and hospital staff laughing to lighten the situation. She loved to burn candles and pop tic-tacs as she bobby pinned her hair while watching evening TV. Crime and mystery shows especially NCIS and hours of Cops sitcoms Judge Judy the news and the Doppler radar channel were her favorites. She loved to cook and read the paper as she listened to football games and radio talk shows. She loved her family including helping to raise her grandchildren who called her Becky. She would do everything she could to help (even when it would drive them nuts). Her intuition was always right and she gave incredible advice. Soup and half a sandwich everyday for lunch and dinner at 5 PM she lived by her routine. A nature lover and proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star she grew up in Negaunee MI and lived the remainder of her life in Grand Rapids. She will be loved and missed greatly.
