WIND – Elsie Chlopan Wind aged 95 of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully June 27 2010 at Porter Hills Village. Elsie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years Henry Wind. Elsie was born in Winnipeg Canada and raised in Highland Park Michigan. For many years Elsie and Henry were members of Cascade Hills Country Club. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her children Janet (Michael) McCasey of Grand Rapids and Larry (Cindy) Wind of Pittsburgh PA and by her grandchildren Mark (Diana) McCasey Kristin McCasey Lindsay (Andy) Hess and Daniel Wind. Memorial Mass will be offered July 10 at at St. Paul the Apostle Church 2750 Burton SE Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or Porter Hills Benevolent Fund.
