After a long life together Felix and Eulalia Pereiro entered eternal life just a few months apart.  Felix age 94 died on November 9, 2015 and Eulalia (affectionately known as Lala) died on June 24, 2015 at 90 years old.  Felix and Eulalia were married on June21, 1952 in Havana Cuba.  They immigrated to the United States of America in 1960 and became citizens. Felix served in the U. S Army during the Bay of Pigs.  After a few years in New York, their search for a good environment to raise their son brought them to West Michigan where they set down roots and were blessed with the birth of a daughter.  Felix and Eulalia enjoyed simplicity of life and strong moral values.  They were devoted to family, faith, work, and education.  Felix completed his studies at the Instituto Nacional de Educacion Fisica in Havana on July 1, 1948 and became a professor of Physical Education.  Eulalia also attended college and commuted across town daily to work in organizations in Havana.  Felix had a long successful career at Steelcase.  Felix loved exercise, baseball, traveling, reading, caring for and maintaining his car, cooking especially on weekends and family trips to Gun Lake.  He loved his daily walks. Eulalia was strong-willed, strong-minded, prayerful, and very loving. She was also exceptionally shrewd, prudent and perceptive.  She loved to read books (especially biographies) and spend time with her family as much as possible.  Felix and Eulalia are survived by two children:  Felix Pereiro (and his wife Maureen), Linda Pereiro-Pitt (and her husband Michael); one grandson, Jacob Michael Pitt; 2 nieces, Maria and Elvira; and 2 nephews, Adelfo and Manuel. Mass of Christian Burial for Felix and Eualia Pereiro will be celebrated Tuesday, November 24th 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1935 Plymouth Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Troy Nevins presiding.
