Filippa (Fina) Mattaliano, age 84 of West Chester, OH, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Tom (Gaetano) Mattaliano, deceased February 25, 1985. She is survived by her sister Rosa Conigliaro (Palermo, Sicily), daughter Diana (Mattaliano) Firsich, her husband Bob, and their children Danielle, Brianna (wife Lauren), and Alec. She is also survived by her son David Mattaliano, his wife Shelly, and his daughters Mia and Ava. Tom and Fina came to the United States in 1960 from Palermo, Sicily. Tom was the proud owner of several businesses, including Tom’s Pizza at Breton Village, where he was a beloved member of the local community. Fina was a seamstress who created custom draperies for Ethan Allen for many years. Before Tom’s passing, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They were members of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for nearly 40 years. Visitation will be Friday 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. The family will also meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11:00 a.m at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2750 Burton St. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Peter Damian presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
