Harvey James Marter III, age 57 of Alto formerly of Spring Lake, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 17, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Beatrice. He is survived by his wife of 15 years Merry; brothers, Keith (Lori), Ken (Reiad Nazzal) Marter; nieces, Nicole and Marcy Marter; nephew, Justin Marter; boxers, Joe Lewis and Snoots; cat, KitKat; and horses Natashia and Houdini. Harvey graduated from Spring Lake High School class of 1976. Funeral Service will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Sue Hood officiating. The family will meet with friends and relatives Wednesday 4-7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel.
