Helen Huboy, age 89, danced her way into Heaven on Friday, September 5, 2014 after a short illness. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Steve, in 1993. Helen was born in Dearborn, Michigan on October 21, 1924, to Adam and Mary (Goldyn) Lizon. She was one of ten children born to Adam and Mary, two of whom survive her, Forence Marra and Monica Nehasil. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Linda Huboy and Karen Sprich, both of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Donna (Tim) DeVos of Davisburg, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kris (Tom) Coons, Megan (David) Streeter, Bethann (Jeff) Marshall, Stacy (Chris) Foster, Stephanie (Lee) Chamberlain and Steve Sprich. Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren, Madison, Zachary, Little David, Noel, Jaeden, Nicholas, Samantha, Christian, Joshua, Alyvia and Aiden. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 21, 2014 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider as celebrant. A luncheon will be served afterwards at The Village of Heather Hills, 1055 Forest Hill S.E., Grand Rapids. The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Village of Heather Hills for making the last 2 ½ years so enjoyable for our mom. There were always friends to talk to, people to joke with and musical entertainment on Sundays for her to get up and dance her polka to!!!
