Jean Eardley-Jablonski

Jean Eardley-Jablonski, age 92, of Cascade Twp, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Verle Eardley; her sister, Ruth Corstange; and her brothers, Thomas and James Eardley.  She is survived by her sons’, Richard (Karen), Daniel (Mary Ruth), David (Mary) and Brian Jablonski; grandchildren, Peter, Kendra, Tatum, Allison, Jacqueline, Lauren, Hannah, Genevieve, Nicole, Blake and Kaela; great-grandchildren, Anna and Cora; and many nieces and nephews. Jean dearly loved her family and spending time at her sons’ cottages on Long Lake in Traverse City. Jean loved taking continuing education classes at Aquinas College and graduated from Aquinas at age 60.  She also worked at Aquinas. Jean was proud of her Irish Heritage and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel, especially to Ireland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 17 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2750 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Rev. Peter Damian presiding. Interment Whitneyville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jean’s name to the Aquinas College Endowment Fund, 1600 Robinson Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506.
